I work in a small ecommerce team. Lately I see more customers leaving product pages very fast. Prices are fine, ads bring traffic, but conversion is weak. I suspect product data issues. Descriptions feel messy, specs differ across channels. Is product information really that critical now, or am I overthinking it? I want real opinions.

Product data quality matters more than ever. This article explains it clearly: https://startuprise.co.uk/the-state-of-product-information-management-2026-trends-and-statistics/ . It shows how incomplete specs, missing images, and poor structure push buyers away. Customers compare fast. If data looks unreliable, trust drops. The article also explains why many teams move to PIM systems. Manual work breaks once catalogs grow. Clean data improves conversion and internal speed.

I agree. We fixed descriptions and added better images. Bounce rate dropped fast. People want clarity. Even small errors feel risky to buyers now.
