A Valentine’s Day wreath isn’t just a decorative piece. It’s a heartfelt expression of love, not to mention a beautiful way to add a touch of creativity and warmth to your space. Plus you’ll catch yourself glancing at it and reveling in your resin crafting abilities.
Supply list:
Assorted size resin charms mold
Clear casting resin
Assorted glitter and powder pigment colors in pink, purple and/or red
Mixing utensils (included in kit referenced above), measuring cups, safety gloves, and PPE.
Blank wreath
Flower picks to match your resin charm
Glue gun and glue sticks
Step 1: Make resin charms
Mix an ounce of clear resin and divide into several cups.
Then, color each cup with something different, but complementary.
By varying the look of the glitter you include in the resin, you’ll add another element of visual interest.
Next, pour the resin into assorted cavities in the mold. Then, let the resin cure.
Demold the charms after the resin is dry.
Step 2: Assemble
Grab your stems and charms. Stage where you’re going to put them on your Valentine’s Day wreath.
Wrap the flower picks to the wreath.
Add a dot of hot glue to the back of a charm.
Press onto the wreath.
Step 3: Hang
Hang the wreath on a door or wall to welcome Cupid (and any other visitors to your home) for Valentine’s Day.
What else should you know about making this Valentine’s Day wreath?
You can make a wreath for other holidays (besides Valentine’s Day) too. Have your resin charms mold handy anytime you have leftover resin. When a holiday comes around, go through your pile of charms. Pick colors that match the holiday and add to the wreath.
