My studio is not heated or insulated and winter is coming. If I run space heater (no open flame or element) I can get temperature up to 60 on coldest day, 65ish on 30-40 degree day.
Can resin cure in this temperature range?
I have very small work area in the house where I can pour resin and leave it for 12 hours but then I need to free up the area….can a resin painting be mov d at that point to the lower temp studio to finish curing?
It can stay there for weeks without being disturbed if necessary. -
Hi Kelly,
Low 70’s F is the best temperature for resin curing. You can warm your resin in a water bath before starting, which will help, but your room temperature is still going to be a problem.
Once your resin painting has cured to the soft cure point, yes, you can move it so it can continue curing for the full cure time.
