This question comes from Nick:
Hi. Planning to use EnviroTex Lite pour-on for a late holiday project and need to learn 3 things . . . .
1. When using photos, magazine cutouts, beer coasters from restaurants — in other words, paper media — does the pour-on affect that medium if the paper object isn’t first sealed?
2. if I use a thin layer to position small seashells and let it dry, when the cover layer is poured, is the separation between the two levels visible?
3. Is there a way to add a light blue-green sea color to the pour-on for the seashell cosmetics tray ???? -

Hi Nick,
I’m happy to help.
Yes, resin will affect paper items if they are not sealed first. They will take up moisture stains. You will need to seal your papers with a couple of layers of a clear drying glue or seal within packing tape before including them in resin. We have a few resources on how to do that here:
https://www.resinobsession.com/resin-frequently-asked-questions/how-to-seal-papers-or-findings-for-including-in-resin

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86R7QBst4_oYou should not see a demarcation line between multiple layers of resin when looking from above. If looking from the side, then yes, you can see lines. You can minimize these lines by pouring the next layer after the first layer has started to gel. (Since it sounds like you are pouring the resin into a tray, then layers should not be noticeable.)
Yes, you can color resin! We have several liquid colorants in our shop: https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/colorants/Liquid
This ocean blue https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/colorants/products/alumilite-liquid-pigment-transparent-dye?variant=25394305217
or transparent teal https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/colorants/products/resin-obsession-transparent-color-pigments-single-1-ounce-colors?variant=6787892737
would work well for you.
Good luck!
