I’m making some sealed small lights and want to pour clear resin into the top as the finish for the lens. I did a test pour into a 3d print and it shrunk by about 1.5mm from the face after it cured (took some 72 hours). It’s 20mm by 20mm in a cylinder from. Is there anyway I can prevent this as I need the final finish to be flush with the top.
I’m afraid all resins are going to shrink after curing. Your best bet is to overpour by the amount of the shrink, knowing it will pull back once it cures/cools.
