Hi all, I have made a cube shaped silicone mold, but regret not making a pouring spout in which I could bung closed to try to rotate the mold when castinging to help with the undercuts.
Will new silicone adhere to old?
Can I make the new piece separately and then stick it on somehow?
Any advice or tips greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mick
A new batch of the same silicone should adhere, but it’s going to be difficult to get the new silicone to adhere to the old one without some kind of ‘crack’ or bubble at the junction line.
Unfortunately, it might be easier to just start over.
