low humidity and cold climates when casting

As my topic states my concerns are about humidity and temperature. I live in a northern climate where right now (early December) the temp.is in the 20’s and humidity is also very low this time of year. When I cast a mold(using easy cast) it has to be done upstairs in my house because my basement temps. are in the high 50’s, well out of the optimal temps for casting (between 70 and 85 degrees). the remainder of my house is at 72 degrees. at the low end of optimal range and humidity is very,very low. That being said and being new to casting, I think I’m not at perfect conditions for casting. The major issue is not completely degassing when curing begins and I’m left with an unacceptable amount of bubbles. I am awaiting my order of your (resin obsessions) clear resin which is said to be thinner in consistency and possibly a solution to my problems. Can someone shed some light on my suspicions that temp. and humidity are having an adverse affect on my casting? perhaps there is a thread in this forum that addresses this issue. I’d appreciate any tips, thoughts, links to other threads that might address this problem. My one solution would be to make a “hot box” of sorts with a lamp to allow my casts to cure at a warmer temp. Thanks in advance to all who respond.
