This question comes through email by Mich:
I emailed you awhile back about including some paper coasters in resin to make "new" coasters. I have properly treated them. Is it best to pour a layer of resin, let it dry, then put the paper coaster on top of that and pour a new layer. Or is it best to pour a layer, put the paper coaster on top, let it cure, then put a layer of resin on top of that? Thanks for all your help. I hope this turns out to be a great Christmas gift!

It depends on where you want the paper to end up. You need to assume the paper is going to sink. If you want the paper to be at the very top of the finished coaster, then you want to put it in with the first layer and help push it to the bottom of the mold (which will be the top once its demolded). If you want the paper to be in the vertical center of the mold, I would pour the first layer to halfway in the mold and allow it to cure. When you pour the second layer, push the paper to the new bottom so that it will be in the middle.
