I have been making tumblers for a couple months. Recently I dropped one and was surprised at how bad it cracked and bubbled up in some places. My question is, can this be fixed? and or is there a resin that is more durable for tumbler applications
I used the Amazing clear cast. I have had several crack and pull up after dropped. I understand that no different than anything else it has it limit, but I was surprised at how easy it broke. If I sand it, I will have to strip the entire thing. It is multiple colors and it pulled the epoxy as well as the paint.
Oh yuck. That’s a bummer! You can try recoating but it sounds like there might be an air gap between the old resin and the tumbler. I’m not sure recoating will fix the problem.
