Oh man, I feel your pain! I had a similar disaster a few years ago when I decided to “save money” and DIY my own countertop. Long story short, I ended up with a jagged edge that looked like it belonged in a medieval castle, not my kitchen. My partner still jokes that I was trying to build a moat, not a counter.
