Help with Freeform Geodo Molds

      I tried creating a free form geode mold using silicone caulking. I read the following:
      1. Create your mold & allow to dry for 2-3 days.
      2. Layer your resin and allow to dry for 24 hours.
      3. Remove the silicone from the resin geode.
      Epic fail! The silicone will not pull away from the resin. I had to use shears & a razor to cut the resin away from the silicone. I read some artists use vaseline and rub the inside of the silicone?
      Please help! I am grateful for any suggestions.

      Hi Debbie,

      It has been my experience that silicone caulking does not work well as molding material. If you want to try again, use a good mold release. Either the Ultra 4 or Petrolease in our store would be best:
