Looking for a retractable tonneau cover for my RAM 1500 with a short bed. I need something that gives me full access to the bed when I need it but also keeps my cargo secure when closed. Some covers I’ve seen take up a lot of space with their canisters—are there any compact options that still work well? Also, how do these covers handle snow? I don’t want something that gets stuck in freezing temperatures.

If you’re worried about losing bed space, you’ll want a cover with a low-profile canister. The canister is small, so it doesn’t eat up too much of the bed, and the cover itself rolls up tightly without getting in the way.
