Best Resin for high heat

      I’m new to resins so pardon my complete ignorance. I want to cover a painted slate surface such that it can be used for a hot pad for a casserole out of the oven and that sort of thing.
      Can anyone please tell me of all the various types of resins, what, IYHO, is the best one to use?
      Any other hints and suggestions are most welcome and thanks in advance for taking the time to write.

      Hi Ginny,

      Unfortunately, resin doesn’t usually work well for this purpose.
