      This question comes from Anne:

I want to use the doming method on both sides of a leaf not using a mould, to make a pendant.

So I put the leaf on a doming tray and did one side and it looked awesome. Then I flipped it when it was dry to do the backside but it seems that the sides don’t adhere to each other. The sides actually split apart. So I tried letting some resin drip over the edge of the backside for a seal but then the resin was sticks to the leaf on the other side and I can’t get it off. Any suggestions for two sided doming that would seal the edges together somehow?

      Hi Anne,

To get an even edge on your leaves, try laminating them, then applying the resin. Use the same technique as the butterfly wings in this article https://resinobsession.com/resin-tutorials/casting-butterfly-wings-resin/

Dome one side, allow to cure, the dome the other.
