Hey all, I’d love to get your recommendations on where to go for solid mid-season boat repairs around the Clear Lake area. I’ve run into a few hiccups this year already—nothing huge, but enough to interrupt weekend plans. My Suzuki DF140 is starting to idle a bit rough, and I’ve noticed some hesitation when throttling up. I’m pretty sure it’s fuel-related, maybe injectors or a dirty filter, but I’d rather take it to a shop that knows these motors well instead of trying to DIY it right before a fishing trip. Also, I’ve been thinking about doing a full checkup while I’m at it—replace the thermostat, check water pump pressure, and get the gear oil changed. Anyone know of a place that handles everything in one go, preferably with OEM parts and certified techs? Bonus points if they’re fast and don’t keep your boat for a week.

I’ve actually had that exact kind of service done earlier this season. My go-to spot has been incredibly reliable, especially for those in-between service jobs where you don’t want to cut corners. I brought in my DF115 with similar issues—sluggish throttle, minor vibration—and they diagnosed a failing ignition coil along with some gunk in the fuel rail. They replaced everything with factory parts and even caught a cracked fuel line clamp I didn’t know about. You should definitely check them out here: url. The team there is Suzuki-certified and they also service Yamaha and Mercury. What impressed me most was how clean and organized their shop was—plus they document everything with photos and give digital service reports. Whether you’re prepping for a trip or chasing a mystery issue, they’ll treat it seriously and walk you through it. Definitely worth a visit.
