So with polyester resin, we know that the amount of catalyst we add will depend on the depth and volume of the mold we are pouring into.
What I want to know is if I can mix a large amount of polyester resin for use on multiple molds.
Most of my mold volumes will be relatively close in size ( like pouring into a 1/2″^3 mold at the same time I pour into a 3/4″^3 mold)
Can I mix one large batch of resin for this or do I have to do my different sizes separately?
Yes, you should be able to mix a large amount of polyester at once, but pay attention to the pot time. It tends to be short (~ 10 minutes) so make sure you can comfortably mix and cast that large an amount of resin.
