Acrylic spray Vs Resin spray

      Has anyone used an acrylic spray on an object BEFORE putting it in resin?
      I have a spider I want to set first to make handling easier.
      Also when I find some dragon flies or butterflies. To protect them so I can embed them when ready.

      I have used an acrylic spray on items before putting them in resin, but not with insects. It’s my understanding that it doesn’t work well with butterflies because it disturbs the colors on their wings.

      Ah ok. And the resin spray wouldn’t?
      Would the acrylic spray leave any residue under the resin once cast? So between the object and the clear resin. For example dragon fly wings don’t have colour.

      I don’t know that the resin spray would be any better. I’m guessing it has something to do with the force/pressure of the gas disturbing the wings.

      I have never had a problem with spray leaving a residue that interfered with the resin – curing or looking funky or otherwise.

      Awesome and that was using either acrylic spray or resin spray?
