I poured artwork resin on my mosaic table. It is self leveling. Per the advice at this forum I created a lip of tape around it to keep the resin from pouring off. But now I have akward square pointy edges after removing the tape. Is there a way to fix this? (I was thinking sanding or cutting with an exacto knife but don’t know if either will be strong enough).

And for future projects, what is the solution? I think it would look much smoother to not have a tape lip, but then I wonder if the self-leveling resin would just all pour off?

      Hi Tricia,

You will need to sand the edge of the resin. This article explains how. https://resinobsession.com/resin-frequently-asked-questions/how-to-sand-resin-smooth/

The best way to avoid this is to apply the tape dam to the height that you need and not much more. I.e. you want the resin to come to the top of the dam without running over.
