I have a 1″ concho that has a small circle in the center with a cross in the middle of that. The space between the small raised circle and the cross in middle used to be filled with shiny black resin. That has since fallen out. The fill area between the xircle and cross has an edge, just not very deep.
Thanks

Hi,
How much total resin are you going to pour?

I dont know, never done this. Not very much – the unfilled spaces are small. See this link:

Thanks for the picture. It’s helpful!
For a project like this, I would use a doming resin colored black.
Doming resin: https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/resin/doming
Black color: https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/liquid-colorants/opaqueFor a small project like this, the brands aren’t important.
Mix the resin, then add black color.
Drip the resin into the void with a toothpick.
Set aside to cure.Does this help?

Help immensely, thank you.
Is the viscosity such with the doming resin that I can swipe off any excess that gets on the cross? Or by definition doming resin will naturally settle around it?
And will the resin and dye bottle specify ratio of mix? Thanks again!

A doming resin mixes thick enough that you can ‘dot’ it into your area. While not exactly what you are making, this article shows how to put resin on a surface, then draw it to where you want it to go: https://resinobsession.com/resin-tutorials/domino-resin-pendant-tutorial/
Should you get any on your cross, wipe it off with a baby wipe while the resin is still wet.
All resin kits will come with mixing instructions (amounts, volumes, ratio, etc.). Since it sounds like you haven’t mixed resin before, this article might help: https://resinobsession.com/resin-frequently-asked-questions/how-to-measure-and-mix-epoxy-resin-and-hardener/
Resin colors will include instructions, but in general, aren’t quite so rigid with their instructions.
