Hello! This is my first resin project, so I’m looking for a little guidance. I have built a 3″x3″x3″ cube out of toothpicks (it’s sturdy) and plan on filling it up with resin. In the process, I would like to embed an acorn in the center of the cube. Would it be best to pour in layers of resin until I can partially submerge the acorn in the center and then continue pouring in layers until the cube is filled? Would you recommended a different process? Is there a specific type of resin that would work better for this application? Any other thoughts/comments would be appreciated!

Hi Max,
You will need to pour the resin in layers, inserting the acorn into the second layer where you can center it. While not exactly what you want to do, this article explains how showing with buttons in a bracelet: https://resinobsession.com/resin-tutorials/how-to-make-things-float-in-resin/
