Hello,
I’m a beginner and love making jewellery and small things like bookmarks and coasters. However, I really like the effect of doing items with clear resin with flowers and leaves from the garden. I’m now reading a lot about yellowing and that resin with HALS in it helps. Can you please advice if this is correct?
Also do you sell a resin that would prevent yellowing but that I can also harden under a UV lamp? It’s really cold here and I can only do my crafts in the summerhouse so it’s hard to get the right temp to cure. Thanks.

Unfortunately, all resins are going to yellow over time. Resins with UV inhibitors and stabilizers, like HALS, help extend the time before yellowing occurs. However, things such as mixing off ratio (even though it still can cure without tackiness), putting over an improperly cured lacquer, excessive heat, and or constant exposure to sunlight can speed up the yellowing process. How long the epoxy will last in its clear state is very difficult to predict.
The only resins that cure underneath a UV lamp are UV resins. We do not sell those.
