My cat recently passed away, and I had one of his whiskers and wanted to make a ring. I have ring molds and plan to loop the whisker around the circumference, but whiskers are springy, and I wasn’t sure how to keep the whisker in place during curing. Is there something I can do to glue the whisker into shape and the put it in the mold? What product would work for that and be invisible in the finished product?

      Hi Stanley,

I’m sorry to hear your cat has passed away. It sounds like he meant a lot to you!

If it were me, I would gently push the whisker into the ring mold so that it springs open against the mold edge. You can then use a toothpick as necessary to push the whisker into a different place.

How do I make sure the whisker is fully coated and sealed in. Should I put a little resin in first to coat the mold?
