Thank you for inviting me to comment too! On Resin Crafts blog I get
this question a lot. Both EasyCast and Envirotex cure super clear.
Envirotex Lite should be used for shallow pours…like in a bezel and
1/8 of an inch deep. Anything deeper and you should consider using
EasyCast which was designed for deeper pours in molds etc. -

My question is:
Im wanting to make some resin coasters with beer caps embedded in them. Im familiar with Environtex Lite from working with it in other crafts. Since this is my first attempt making coasters, I need to know which resin would work better and would give a clear, acrylic-like result, it or the Easycast Epoxy? I realize that if I use Environtex, I would probably need to do it in layers. I greatly appreciate any suggestions or tips.Thanks again!

I would expect that either would work fine, but I have more experience with the Easy Cast and I know it would work.
The Resin Obsession super clear resin also would work well.

She used polyester resin which would not be my first choice for this project, but would work as well.
