I’m interested in making jewellery using a backing of clear polycarbonate plastic substrate such as that in cd’s and records. I want to place an image on top, then coat with resin. Does anyone know if I need to seal the image before applying resin, and also how do I keep the resin just on the image and not have it run down the sides? Any ideas as I’m pretty new to this but would love to take up this craft.

To keep the resin on the surface of the CD, you will need to use a doming resin. They mix thicker, allowing the resin to stay on the surface and evenly level.
