How do you know when you’ve used too much – opinions!

Hi I’ve just started with resin (about three weeks ago) and I’ve been branching out to use gold/silver/copper leaf in my designs. But my issue is that I can never get an idea if I’ve used too much because when I put in a tiny bit, it doesn’t look like enough and then I put in a tiny bit more and it looks too much.

How do you all judge when it’s too much leaf. I’ll try to post a picture below of my most recent leaf cast
