This question comes through email by Rachel:

I am new to resin and I had wondered can you make it a shining gold or silver? then I came upon the metallic powders but I have no idea how to use them or how they make your resin look. how do you use it? will it give your resin an opaque look but metallic? I saw that it says you brush into mold will that mean that only the front of the resin charm will look metallic and not the back? if you mix in with the resin like other powders and dyes what will it do? please help enlighten me on the topic of metallic powders.

      Rachel,

This video by Alumilite (maker of some of our metallic powders) shows how you can brush the powder into a mold and cast.

If your finished casting isn’t as glossy as you would like, I suggest either brush coating it with another layer of resin or using our resin gloss spray.
