How to prevent gold leaf discoloration

      Hi

      I am using gold leaf (flakes) for my resin jewelry but i am having problem with it. After some time, there is discoloration on the gold leaf. I think the resin i am using is epoxy resin and i mis the catalyst first before adding gold leaf. How can i avoid the discoloration?

      I’m afraid I don’t have a good answer for you. I’m afraid I haven’t had that problem with gold leaf.

      I haven’t either! I also use epoxy resin.

      I think the problem may be the gold leaf itself. Much of the “gold leaf” sold these days is not pure gold, but mixed with other materials, which can cause the discoloration.
